Melissa Barrer, PA-C is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in general and pediatric dermatology. A graduate of Emory University, Melissa earned both a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the prestigious university. Originally from Atlanta, Melissa practiced dermatology in New York City before making Dallas her home in 2020.
Melissa’s approach to patient care is centered around a combination of personalized attention, thorough evaluation, and evidence-based treatment. She is committed to educating patients about their conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures, empowering them to take an active role in their health. She also strives to stay at the forefront of dermatological advancements to ensure the highest standard of care for her patients. Melissa looks forward to working with patients of all ages to address a wide range of skin concerns.
Outside of work, Melissa loves exploring the DFW Area with her husband and young son, and the family can often be found relaxing in a shaded spot at White Rock Lake. She also enjoys taking Pilates classes, cheering on the Dallas Stars, and indulging in some of the best barbecue.
